The Importance Of Vintage


The vintage alone is sometimes enough to alter the price of a wine. Whereas a wine from a great vintage will trade at a higher value than the same wine with the same score from a lesser vintage.

Consumers will gravitate toward these vintages and successful wine portfolios will be heavily populated with wines from them. Critics will deem a vintage great where quality is exceptional across the board and where the wines are expected to age the longest.
