Buying Wine through Abbots

How do I buy wine ?

Our specialist team aims to make your buying experience pleasurable and profitable by researching, selecting, sourcing and securing fine wine for investment. Our dedicated wine consultants will provide you with advice on which wines are available to purchase, while our up-to-the-minute ‘special alert’ emails will keep you up to date.

To ensure you have every possible opportunity at your fingertips, our email alerts will also inform you of any wines which have been identified to have strong growth potential. This could be through special promotions or collections with limited supply available.
It is because of this that we encourage all of our clients to provide their preferred email address details to Abbots.

How do I get started?

  • Once you’ve registered, we will contact you to fully explain what we can offer you and answer any of your questions

  • When you decide to make your first purchase, an order will be processed. Payment for the outstanding amount is requested to be made within 7 days of receipt of your invoice documentation.

  • Once your full payment is received, we will write to you to confirm receipt, and your certificate of ownership will be processed and forwarded to you in due course.

  • We will arrange for your purchased wine, excluding En Primeur  wines, to be delivered into bonded storage at London City Bond/ Vinoteque or a UK government  bonded warehouse of your choice within 60 days of receipt of payment.

  • As En Primeur wine collections are in barrel for approximately two years, you will receive a certificate of allocation on receipt of payment. Once the wine is bottled and shipped to London City Bond we will forward a certificate of ownership of your wine to you.
